V. V. Vinayak is an Indian film director and screen writer who predominantly works in Telugu cinema. His directorial debut was with the 2002 melodrama film Aadi which starred NTR Jr., received positive reviews and became a box office hit. He received the state Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director and the film was subsequently remade in Tamil as Jai. In 2003, he directed two major box office hits Dil and Tagore starring Chiranjeevi.
