Trivia:
'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' was initially given the working title 'Black Diamond', which was then changed to 'Trixie' and then ultimately finalized as 'The Rise of Skywalker'.

Lucasfilm confirmed that they wouldn't digitally recreate Carrie Fisher as they did in 'Rogue One' instead, the unused footage from 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' and 'Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi' will be used in a clever way to repurpose the scenes.

The design of Kylo Ren's repaired mask was supposedly based on kintsugi, a centuries-old Japanese art to repair broken pottery by joining them together with a golden lacquer, giving the fractures a unique golden pattern.

Colin Trevorrow was originally intended to direct this movie, but "chose to leave" the project due to creative differences between him and Lucasfilm. J.J. Abrams was brought in and Chris Terrio had joined Abrams to re-write the script.

Anthony Daniels as C-3PO is the only actor to have appeared in all 9 official Star Wars saga live-action films excluding the spin-offs.
