'Yuvaraju' is a poignant romantic drama that revolves around Srinivas (Mahesh Babu) who has just returned to India and joined a college in Hyderabad. A beautiful young woman Srivalli (Saakshi Sivanand) and Srinivas get friendly with each other, but there is a twist in the tale. Srivalli has a boyfriend called Vamsi (Venkat), who lives abroad but whom she regards as her best friend and keeps close to her heart. It so happens that a plane crashed 20 years back and these two were the only survivors of the tragedy. In due course, Srinivas and Srivalli realise that they have fallen in love with each other.They break the news to their respective families, followed by a lavish engagement ceremony. There is yet another twist in the tale, when Srilata (Simran) arrives in nick of time to attend the engagement. Srivalli comes to know that Srinivas and Srilata have been close friends, and have had some history together.The rest of the story delves into Srilata's true identity and what happens to Vamsi's love.
