This romantic drama film follows where the previous malayalm classic 'Chemmeen' left off, where Panchami accepts the son of her elder sister and names him Azhakan. Azhakan falls in love with Neelipennu who is the daughter of Kochukali. Kochukali is against their relationship and how Azhakan and Neelipennu defy all the odds to stay together forms the rest of the story.
