Dealing with an alcoholic mother who's addicted to mahjong parties and a father who works tirelessly at a shipping yard and is largely absent from her life, Peipei is forced to become self-reliant. She desperately tries to save funds for a christmas trip to Japan with her best friend. Peipei works as a minimum wage waitress to raise funds but she also engages in smuggling iPhones from Hong Kong to Mainland which causes a huge ripple in her life.
