Tahqiqaat (1993)

Look alike twins Prem and Arun live a middle class lifestyle. Prem decides to become celibate, as a catholic priest and relocates to another village, while Arun becomes a Superintendent of Police. One day Prem visits Arun to investigate the death of a woman named Mary who had been killed and asks him to perform a postmortem. Arun fires the officer who buried the body without following procedure and when he opens the coffin for inspection he is shocked to discover Prem dead. Arun strives to learn the reason behind his death, and search for the missing body of Mary. Arun hears many deceitful tales and lies from the village people and ultimately learns that Prem had impregnated Mary and had committed suicide out of guilt.
