Trivia:
This is the only film in which Shashi Kapoor play the older brother of Amitabh Bachchan. In the other movies in which they are brothers, Amitabh Bachchan plays the older one.

This was the last movie of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha together. They were not paired after that, possibly due to their controversial affair.

The song "Neela Aasman" is based on a tune that Amitabh Bachchan and Shammi Kapoor composed together while shooting for Zameer (1975).

The original star cast was Amitabh Bachchan, Padmini Kolhapure and Parveen Babi. Then Smita Patil replaced Padmini Kolhapure before finalising with Jaya Bhaduri and Rekha, who had been recommended by Amitabh Bachchan.
