During a holiday in Shimla, Avi meets Naina and falls in love with her. As he is a shy person, he decides to stay back and work in her cafe as a handyman. He gathers courage to write a love letter and gives it to Naina who in turn hands it over to her mother Rukmani. Her mom is struggling with self-esteem issues ever since her husband left them. Rukmani believes that the letter is for her and Naina maintains this lie to keep her happy. However, when the truth comes out it devastates both Avi and Rukmani.
