Satyabhama (1981)

This multi-layered relationship drama revolves around a married couple. The husband is a graduate, who works as an administrator in a company. Their marriage comes to an end when he betrays his wife, and has an affair with her widowed friend. He confesses the truth as he gets drunk, and tries to explain himself, and even her family tries to convince her to condone this one little mistake, but she cannot forgive him his unfaithfulness and they break up.

After their divorce, his wife comes to know that she is pregnant. She moves into her new home. Five years later, they meet each other in a bus. Coincidentahe, her ex-husband's new house is close to hers in the same neighborhood.

Now when they're neighbours, he tries to captivate her again and makes an attempt to reunite with his wife and son. He gets close to their son, but she dislikes it and instructs him to stay away from the man. Slowly, she begins to think about all the good times they had, his caring, thoughtful companionship and starts to melt.

At a critical juncture in their relationship, they have a disagreement and he slaps her. With his patience wearing out completely, he gives her an ultimatum of 30 days to return to him. Will she find it in her heart to forgive him? Will they begin a new life together or will he end up marrying someone else?
