This historical saga revolves around Simantini, the extraordinarily pious and pure daughter of Rishi Yajnavalkya and Maittreyi, who is a great devotee of Goddess Parvati. Her marriage takes place with Chandrangadha, a great and powerful king and the couple live happily. However, in a boating accident King Chandrangadha drowns and is presumed dead. The grief-stricken Simantini begins living the life of a widow. Will she ever be reunited with her husband? How will her future unfold?
