Movie about three friends in a residential school in ooty. First the three friends are Seirra Elizabeth(Roma),Sreedevi(Mariya Roy),Pooja Krishna(Parvathy). Seirra,the daughter of separated Brigadier(Sureshgopi) and doctor(Lekshmi) couples is bold and willing to do anything for their friends.Sreedevi,the daughter of a strict father( Prem prakash as Swaminathan) and a loving mother (Sukanya), is a sensitive girl who is entirely dependent on her friends for her day to day decisions.Pooja is the only day scholar of the group living with her single parent mother(Seetha).She is very much practical in approach,studious,and has leadership qualities. Cinema begins with a new year celebration in the school from which the three friends secretly get away from there to meet in their secret place under a tree in the school campus garden in a corner.They keep their "valuable things"(cards, flowers ) in a hole in the tree.There they share their secrets and coming wishes.
The cinema pictures nicely the daily happenings in hostel and school campus of teenage girl friends.One such happening occurs in the chemistry lab when Sreedevi is having her menstrual flow, who requests Sierra for a pad .Sierra rushes to her hostel room to get one from her bag but in vain.Since hostlers are not allowed to go outside without permission and also due to lack of transportation she seeks help from a day scholar boy(Sooraj) of another class who have a two wheeler.Knowing that her sanitary pad was brought by a boy the already introvert Sreedevi becomes more shy and try to avoid face to face contact with Sooraj.Things get more close when Sooraj caught Sreedevi with a porn magazine which accidentally came into her hand.This incidents bring them together and they fall in love.At the same time Pooja was elected as the school leader.When Pooja and Sierra came to know about the affair between Sreedevi and sooraj they admonish her to keep away from the affair. But finally upon Sreedevi's request they finally admitted to support her but on certain conditions.They interviewed Sooraj about his love to Sreedevi and was satisfied with his reply that he will marry her at any cost . They warned both lovers not to meet without their permission.
There are also characters like Feroz who is an excellent composer but back in his studies and is always supported by Sierra,(who is also a drums player) to overcome his inferiority complex.Unfortunately Feroz is expelled from the school after suspected to have copied while taking the exams.Actually the original culprit was the topper of the class (Vani) who is the rivalry of the trio.
Meanwhile the twist of the story occurs during a batch tour when the lovers got an opportunity to make love.After the incident Sreedevi was very much depressed and it summed up when three of her regular periods were missed.Her friends tried to calm her down and decided to do a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.To the summit of their anxiety the two pink lines appeared on the kit indicating that Sreedevi is pregnant.The three teenagers are in the middle of nowhere not knowing what to do in such a situation which they were facing for the first time in their life.Sreedevi threatens to commit suicide if her parents any how come to know about the situation.Both Sierra and Pooja are helpless since they cannot inform their parents also.Browsing through internet ,magazines and television shows, the trio finally decided to go for an abortion without the knowledge of others.Pooja made the entire plot.
Since it is impossible to go out of campus, they decided to go out for their mission ,on the school founders day when everyone is busy with their cultural programs.After the welcome speech Pooja, Sierra and Sreedevi manged to get into an autorikshaw and get out of the campus and reached the hospital which they got the address through the internet.In the hospital at first Pooja was decided to accompany Sreedevi to the doctor,but later Sierra said that she will go and told Pooja to watch outside for any known people.In front of the doctor (Raveendran) they were faced by a number of suspicious and criticizing question which were intelligently answered by Sierra.She replied that this is her cousin and her marriage is fixed and her current pregnancy is due to result of a rape.Finally believing in these things the doctor decided to do a first trimester termination of pregnancy after getting consent signed by Sierra who was acting as victims cousin.After a tensional one hour Sierra found running doctors and nurses to and fro operation theater.Smelling something awkward happened, Sierra found that her friend lost her life.Not knowing what to do she ran back to her campus along with Pooja.
Next day they were called to principal office and were questioned by the police inspector and the doctor who done the surgery.The victims father was also there.While doctor states that he saw only Sierra with the patient.Then the police officer asked Pooja whether she was aware of this entire situation ,then the reply was 'NO'.At that time her reputation and family was only Pooja's considerations.Sierra was shocked at Pooja's statement.The police officer and the Principal praised Pooja for keeping her dignity as a school leader.Then the offficer asked Sierra why they did not consult anything with Pooja even though she was their best friend.Sierra replied in second meaning that they know that Pooja would betray them and a friend is who support them at times of crisis.She also said that she did not know about the guy who made Sreedevi pregnant.She also criticized Sreedevi's father that if he was not rude to his daughter or if he was a good father Sreedevi would have discussed her problem first with her father.
An emergency assembly was called and Sierra was expelled from the campus.Sooraj who did not know anything of these, including his girlfriends pregnancy. stood in the crowd with a broken heart and staring at Sierra.Sierras father was called on.One would expect that the fierce Brigadier Alexander would thrash his daughter for involving in such a crime.But there we can see a supporting father who ferociously speak to the principal and the police officer for harassing his daughter.He challenges then that his daughter will gain admission to a better institution and will become a successful girl in future.That night Pooja's mother after knowing the whole thing came the Brigadier's resident to plea guilty and to forgive her daughter for betraying Sierra.But the Brigadier refuses her plea and did not allow her to see Sierra saying that his daughter is trying to forget her past including her old friends and their relatives.Pooja who was grieved with guilt, lost her control over her mind and behave awkwardly during exams and in assembly.
Next scene is the convocation ceremony in All India institute of medical sciences after 5 years.The receiver of best outgoing student award is Sierra.After the ceremony, Sierra is receiving a letter in which the senders name was her lost friend Sreedevi.The content was about the reunion the old trio.The nostalgic Sierra immediately requested her father to go back to their old school.In the airport sierra saw her old colleague Feroz who now became a famous composer and attained success in life.
Back in Ooty ,during another new year eve Sooraj, who is now an engineer, is helping Pooja and her mother to return to their home after her treatment in a mental hospital.They were surprised to see Sierra.Sierra and Pooja spoke out their grieve and decided to go to their old meeting place under the tree.While trying to jump over the fence both of them are seeing their friend Sreedevi waving from behind.The one who send the anonymous letter to Sierra in the name of Sreedevi remains mysterious.
