Nirala (1950)

Doctor Anand has an ailing father to tend to and comes to Phoolnagar where he wishes to open his dispensary, on the way he meets with Poonam who guides and takes him to her residence to meet her family - a sick mother and two brothers Tirchhe and Nandu. Anand treats Poonams mother, and Poonam falls in love with Anand much to the dismay of her brother who plans to get her married off to a Royal family member who had been widowed thrice. Poonam reveals her feelings for Anand but he spurns her away from him and convinces her to marry the royal. Poonam relocates to the palace only to learn that the wives of her husband had been killed and their death is still an unsolved mystery.
