Where did you watch this movie?

This hard-hitting and gritty tale follows the twists and turns in the life of Heera, a defiant young boy, who named himself after a stray dog. Left in the care of an alcoholic Gangu Ganpat (Shreeram Lagoo), the young Heera is made to work hard for his "caregiver's" alcohol requirements. When Heera finds out that he is an orphan born out of an illegitimate relationship, and abandoned by his "parents", he leaves Gangu and finds work with Mahendar Singh (Ranjeet). He grows into a brazen young man, fearless and fiery and even falls in love with Mohini (Zeenat Aman), who will not have anything to do with him due to his lack of ancestry. Heera is now determined to find out who his parents are, and the only one who can help him is the elusive, alcohol-induced and incoherent Gangu Ganpat. Will fate ever bring Heera and his biological father together? Will they ever know about their blood ties? How will events unfold if and when Heera comes to know of his ancestry; will Mohini accept him?

Continuity
In the famous dog scene where Amitabh feeds the dog a hot chili, Zeenat Aman enters the restaurant with 2 unexplained mark blemishes on her face. Possibly from a previously edited out scene in the movie. As the scene progresses into a song, Zeenat's blemish mysteriously disappears.
Trivia:
Amitabh Bachchan's version of "Mere Angne Mein" was a last minute addition to the film.
