In 1985 North Karnataka, during Chandappa Harijana's reign, Ram and Sithara celebrated her birthday. While in the car, Maran secretly recorded them and tried to blackmail Sithara. Enraged, Ram went to Maran’s house and, in anger, misbehaved with Maran’s wife to give him a lesson.
