As the film was already half done, this presented a problem. One of his colleagues suggested that he finish the film by casting his laboratory assistant, whose side profile matched that of Najmul Hussain's, and use creative lighting and shadows for the rest of the scenes so that the audience is not aware of the 'switch'.
