Spiced with quirky comedy and fast-paced action, this romantic drama revolves around Chanti (Ravi Teja), a carefree and fearless young man, who is the son of a head constable (Kota Srinivasa Rao).
As he never hesitates to stand up against injustice and exploitation, he often gets into violent confrontations. On one occasion, he is beaten by local gang members and rescued by Suchitra, fondly called Suchi, a beautiful and brave young woman. She admits him into the hospital, pays the hospital bills, donates her own blood to save him and leaves before he regains consciousness. After regaining consciousness, when Chanti hears about the incident, he finds himself falling in love with her, despite having never seen her.
Determined to establish a relationship with Suchi, Chanti pursues her and later finds out that she is the daughter of Vipra Narayana, the city's Commissioner of Police.
Chanti meets Suchi in the college for the first time expresses his love. When she does not agree, he tries to tease her. She has no other choice but to complain to her father. Consequently, he takes Chanti to the police station and has him severely beaten, before he is rescued by his father.
Getting beaten up only makes Chanti more determined than ever to win the heart of his beloved. He proposes to Suchi again in the college. She asks him to jump from the building. When he is ready to do so, she agrees to his love.
However her father is not happy about their relationship and ropes in some rowdies to amputate his leg. Suchi comes to know about this and runs to help him, but unfortunately meets with an accident.
Both of them get admitted into the same hospital at the same time, meet and reunite. Still unrepentant, Suchi's father tries to arrange for her to be forcibly married to a bridegroom of his choice.

Deciding to get rid of Chanti once and for all, the Commissioner of police hires goons to eliminate him. Chanti escapes all the threats to his life, meets with the Director-General of Police, explains the situation and seeks his assistance to legally wed Suchitra, and the ceremony is successfully conducted with police protection, in the police station. Finally Chanti appears for the Indian civil service examination and is chosen to become an IPS officer.
