This historical silent film delves into the magical life of Lord Krishna, highlighting the miraculous incident when he carried the Mountain Govardhan, that too with no more than his little finger in order to protect the people and animals of his community from Lord Indra's wrath. After Lord Krishna advised the people of Brajdham to stop performing rituals of sacrifice to Lord Indra and they agreed, Lord Indra feels insulted and tries to punish them by invoking a torrential downpour, Krishna casually lifts the mountain so that all the living beings in the area could be safe under the gargantuan umbrella.
