Ellam Un Kairasi (1980)

This action-oriented drama delves into the twists and turns in the life of Raja, who owns a mechanic shed and leads a simple, but happy life with his mother. He's honest and forthright, ever willing to help those in need and stand up against injustice and exploitation. Raja is haunted by questions arising about his paternity, and forces his mother to reveal his father's identity to him. When Rani, the daughter of a violent thug who is also Raja's fierce enemy runs away from home and seeks refuge with Raja, he protects her and promises to marry her. On one occasion, Raja comes to the rescue of an older man and becomes seriously injured in the process. When he is healed, he comes to know that the older man is a smuggler. What is Raja's true connection with the smuggler? Will he ever come into contact with his father? Can Raja resolve all these problems and happily marry Rani? Major Sundarrajan is a smuggler; Rajini is a mechanic. Incidentally Major Sundarrajan is the father of Rajini, which he gets to know only in the climax. Meanwhile they have lots of conflicts and fights, which is the so-called story of the movie.
