In the year 1519, an adventure was organized to travel around the planet, five ships had departed from Seville with 240 men on board and only one of them managed to return with just 18 sailors rescued from the brink of death. The expedition was financed by the Kingdom of Castile, Portuguese Fernando de Magallanes was commander of the expedition and Basque Juan Sebastián Elcano was the man who managed to complete the mission and had emerged victorious.
