Embedded with fierce action and intense emotion, this realistic drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Sona (Aditya), an obedient hitman, who works under Dubai don Bhai. He has a friend Tukaram Shetty (Achyuth Kumar), who is the adviser and planner for the don. Sona always follows his instructions and murders a number of people, including his own mentor Dholakia (Chi Gurudutt). But Sona's life changes when he falls in love with Rashmi (Akanksha). He decides to give up violence and settle down in life by surrendering to police. This unnerves the don and he takes the help of Muthappanna (Dharma) to kill Sona. Muthappanna chooses his trusted aide Sridhar (Atul Kulakarni) for the task of eliminating Sona. However, Sridhar and Sona become very close to each other. Will Sridhar have the heart to complete his assignment? How will Sona's future unfold? Will he succeed in leaving behind his violent past and settle down into a happy life with his beloved?

This movie is based on a crime novel written by journalist Agni Shridhar in the early 2000s, about the India Mafia existing around Mumbai and Bangalore headed a mafia leader from Dubai. The novel, and in turn the movie, depicts real-life incidents that occurred in the 1990s, highlighting the lives of cult figures in the Karnataka underworld, such as Sridhar, Muthappa Rai and Bachchan.
