This socially relevant drama opens with a felicitation ceremony for the gold medal winning students, Ashok, Thilak, Bose, who are the sons of the headmaster of the local school, Shankar Rao.

Shankar Rao reveals hidden truths about the past in order to encourage the brothers to take up the important professions, as he hopes that each of the brothers become a lawyer, a policeman and a doctor respectively.

Shankar, a labourer from a lower economic strata falls in love with Gowri, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Gowri falls in love with Shankar and marries him, despite her father's rejection of their relationship. After fighting injustice, crime, corruption and immorality all his life, Shankar hopes that his sons will become leaders in their chosen professions and take the country towards peace, justice and harmony. Will they fulfil Shankar's dreams?
