Daivathinte Makan (2000)

Embedded with quirky comedy and youthful romance, this romantic drama follows the fluctuating fortunes in the life of Sunny (Jayaram), an orphan who has been brought up by the priest (Janardhan) of the church. Sunny is a good singer, plays the violin and is very witty. Sonia (Pooja Batra) who ia a daughter of a rich father is in love with Sunny He knows that Sonia is in love with him but he does not respond because he knows that he cannot match up to her status but Sonia thinks differently and one day she publicly kisses him on stage and tells her dad that she wants to marry Sunny. In the meantime, Sunny becomes embroiled in a serious situation, when he saves a young woman, who has just escaped marriage. Anjani and her mother who are suffering to a financial crisis, are offered help by Ratan Bhai a wealthy man, who proceeds to betray them, and place their lives in danger. How will Sonia's family and the priest react to Sonia's blatant proposal to Sunny? Will Sunny accept a proposal out of pressure? Will he choose to help Anjani and her mother in escaping the stranglehold of the dangerous Ratan Bhai?
