The family-oriented tale traces the twists and turns in the life of Baikunthu, a wealthy businessman, highlighting how his decisions affect his family, especially his children.
While his son Gokul is just a baby, Baikunthu's wife passes away. Unable to care for his two-year-old child, Baikunthu makes the decision to remarry. His new wife embraces Gokul as her own son and showers him with love and affection. In course of time, Baikunthu and his wife are blessed with a baby boy, Binod.
Gokul is a very loving, obedient and conscientious young man, and lavishes love on his younger brother. Assessing his qualities, Baikuntha employs him in the family business, whereas Binod excels in academics and is therefore sent to a prestigious institution for further studies.
Gokul grows up to be a good businessman while Binod falls into wrong company. After practically assessing the state of affairs, Baikuntha leaves a Will in which he gives Gokul control of his entire estate. Naturally, Binod is deeply angry and resentful of the decision and conflict ensues between the stepbrothers, much to their mother's agony. How will the conflict be resolved?
