Ayalathe Athdegam (1992)

This realistic and revealing family drama delves into the complications and challenges in the life of Premachandran (Jayaram), a simple, ordinary family man. He and his wife Sulochana (Gautami) lead a mediocre, run of the mill existence. To add spice in the story, a new couple, Rajeevan and Radhika (Siddique and Vaishnavi), move in to their neighbourhood. Sulochana is awed and in enamoured the interesting, exciting and blissful married life of the new neighbours. As a consequence, she develops an inferiority complex about her own marital relationship, becoming more and more dissatisfied and frustrated with Premachandran's complacent attitude. How will events unfold in their marriage?
