Awara Baap (1985)

Raj is the son of Gopal seth Das, and he lost his mother at a very young age. Raj turns into a alcoholic and during his trips he meets a woman named Rupa and saves from being skin traded. Rupa and Raj spend a night together and fall in love with each other much to the dislike of Gopal seth who has arranged for Raj to marry Jamuna's daughter so he can receive dowry and lot more wealth. Gopal seth brainwashes Rupa into making Raj leave her and marry his fiance, Rupa does so and after Raj's marriage she commits suicide. Raj becomes very distraught and hides this from his wife whom he looses after she gives birth to a son and dies of pregnancy complications. Raj turns into alcoholism and Gopal das educates his Grandson Vijay and sends him abroad to study.

Vijay, after 18 years comes home to a heavy alcoholic father and realises he is in love with a woman named Deepa who resembles his original love. Vijay is also in love with a woman named Barkha whom he plans to marry soon. Deepa on the other hand who lures Raj's attention and makes him fall in love with her, is only focused on gold digging his property. Gopal Seth who comes to know of Deepa's intent tries to convey this to Raj but dies a sudden death. Without this knowledge Vijay plans to marry Deepa to his father Raj, whom initially informed him that she wants the family riches to be in her name. Vijay concerned for his father's happiness does the same and goes ahead with the wedding of Deepa and Raj. After sometime Deepa threatens Vijay of leaving his father, Raj doesn't understand Deepa's intent and her plans.

Will Vijay succumb to Deepa's wishes?? Will Vijay be able to marry his love Barkha? Will Raj come to understand Deepa's indiffrence and her original intent??
