Rosma works in a cinema and usually reaches home late after her shift. One day, she has to rush home as her grandmother is dying, only to arrive too late, with her grandmother having already passed away. After her death, Rosma notices that her daughter Nayla has started playing with an invisible friend called Nyai. To Rosma's horror, she discovers that Nyai is an evil entity that her grandmother used to worship. With her grandmother's recent death, it is up to Rosma to continue her grandmother's promise to Nyai. But terrible things begin to happen when she refuses to.
