An Encounter with Faces (1978)

This revealing short documentary film attempts to capture the mood and plight of young children, who find shelter in children's homes at Dongri and Mankhurd in Bombay. In their own words, these abandoned, runaway or delinquent youngsters shed light on the hardships, challenges and suffering they face due to extreme poverty and ignorance. The film attempts to make general public aware about the condition of these delinquent children while emphasizing the need for their rehabilitation.
