Trivia:
Ridley Scott had announced that this will be the second film following up to Prometheus (2012) in the new Alien Trilogy which will take place closer and lead up to the original film.

Ridley Scott had avoided watching Alien 3 (1992) and strongly disliked it when he finally saw it decades later.

The new planet which is assumed to be the home of the engineers, is referred to as the paradise and also could be the home of the gods who created humanity.

Before being titled as 'Alien: Covenant', the film was named 'Alien: Paradise Lost' but was changed to avoid confusion that surmounted due to the disassociation with 'Prometheus' from the 'Alien' franchise.

The movie was initially titled Alien: Paradise Lost.

A part of the production took place in New Zealand.

This is the first time since Alien: Resurrection (1997) that the original Xenomorph will be seen in an Alien film.

Rebecca Ferguson was initially considered to play the role of Katherine Waterston.

This is the only film in the Alien franchise to contain nudity.

The second time Katherine Waterston has worked together with Carmen Ejogo with the first being Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016).

The second film in which Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston appear together in with the first being Steve Jobs (2015).
