Ae Korechho Bhalo (1970)

Embedded with quirky comedy and soulful romance, this offbeat drama traces the twists and turns in the life of two lucky young men, Ashish and Shyamal. They have no prospects in life but wish to become wealthy and lead a lavish life.

They are the nephews of Jadav Ganguly, an exceedingly wealthy miser, who had spent all his life calculating his money. He was so stingy that he never parted with his money even to fulfil his own desires. On his deathbed, Jadav Ganguly is tired and regretful of the way he had led his life and consequently decides to divide his fortune equally between his nephews.

Ashish and Shyamal are naturally thrilled by this fortuitous turn of events, but their uncle has one condition; the both of them must marry a newly divorced woman, who was not married for more than two months, is pretty and between 22-24 years of age. The bride must also be from a reputable Brahmin family. Will the brothers succeed in finding such a match? Will they truly be lucky enough to have it all – love, happiness, marriage and vast wealth?
