Aduthaduthu (1984)

Laden with laughs, this upbeat family drama delves into two best friends, Ayyappan and Thankappan, who do everything together. They live next to each other, they work next to each other and are the most loving friends. Their wives are also good friends and they live together like one family. Thankappan has a son, Raju, while Ayyappan has a daughter, Radha. The two best friends wish that their children would get married and turn their friendship into a relationship. However, Radha is in love with her instructor, Vishnu Mohan while Raju is also in love with a classmate. Both the youngsters seek a way to make their parents understand that they do not wish to marry each other. To add to their problems, an astrologer predicts difficulties and losses in Thankappan and Ayyappan's business, but that their problems could be averted if Radha and Raju would get married immediately. Can the youngsters convince their parents to approve of their choice of mate? How will the relationship between Thankappan and Ayyappan be affected by the challenges in their lives? Will their friendship be broken?
