This evocative and poignant tale is one of struggle, betrayal, loss, sacrifice, fight back and triumph. It is a socially relevant, realistic drama that narrates the story of Juri, who had to face the brunt of widowhood six months after getting married. Her husband was an AIDS patient and she too got infected. Thrown out of her in-laws’ home, she went back to her village where she gave a birth to a girl, but there too Juri had to go through social ostracism. Even her daughter is not accepted, though she tested negative. Her only hope rests with her child, and they fight back with great courage and conviction.
