Trivia:
Zeenat Aman partly funded the film. Sanjay Khan allegedly made a plan to start an affair with her and marry her, just to make the film happen.

Sanjay Khan grew a beard for the film, and ended up keeping it for 10 years.

S. D. Burman had recorded "Maine Poochha Chand Se" with Mohammed Rafi long before the film, but the song was shelved. Years after S. D. Burman's death, Sanjay Khan heard the song at R. D. Burman's place and wanted to use it in the film. R. D. Burman made some changes and it became a classic.
