Aagneyam (1993)

This offbeat suspense thriller daringly depicts the fluctuating fortunes in the life of Madhavaan Kutty (Jayaram), an ayurvedic doctor is sentenced to capital punishment for twin murders. Mathew Stephan (Nedumudi Venu), the jail superintendent however, trusts Madhavan Kutty is innocent. His appeal at Supreme Court is still pending. Upon hearing that his sister has attempted to commit suicide, and mother (Sukumari) has fallen ill, Madhavan Kutty decides to escape. A fugitive of the law, hunted by the police, he has no other choice but to enter into Matthew Stephen's residence to disguise himself in police uniform. Madhavan Kutty, reaches in a forest area, where he is attacked by Velayudhan Ashan (Thilakan), who mistakes him for an animal. Upon seeing him wounded, Velayudhan Asan takes him to his residence. Madhavan Kutty decides to stay there for the time being. In the meantime, Nandakumar (Siddique), the police inspector is assigned the charge to capture Madhavan Kutty. He is shocked to see Shobha Menon (Gauthami), his once girlfriend to be the wife of Nandakumar. Will Madhavan Kutty succeed in saving his family from the unfortunate circumstances that seem to besiege them? Will he be caught and punished for his crimes once more, or will the real killer surface?
