Aadivaram Aadavaallaku Selavu (2007)

Set against the domestic backdrop of Brindavan Apartments in Hyderabad this socially relevant drama that takes the ups and downs in the relationship between five couples, namely 1) Kondavalasa-Telengana Sakuntala 2) Krishnan Bhagwan-Surekha Vani 3) Venu Madhav-Geetha Singh 4) Brahmanandam-Abhinaya Sree and 5) Sivaji-Suhasini.

While the ladies work hard inside and outside the home, taking all responsibility for running the household, their husbands simply depend on them and assume ultimate power in their role as leaders of the Apartment's Association.

Such being the case, one day Shakeela comes to the apartment to visit Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, a scholar. The lascivious men make no attempt to hide the lustful nature and openly ogle Shakeela. It hurts the feelings of their wives. With the help of Kovai Sarala (the maid of the apartment), the ladies contest the society elections and win the same. Their agenda: Declaration of holiday for women on Sunday; and putting a checkmate to the lavish trips of erring husbands.

When it is put under implementation, the men are devastated. They decide to take the extreme measure of filing for divorce. How will the respective couples deal with this conflict? Will the women really get their Sundays off? Will the husbands ever realise their erroneous and egotistical treatment of their wives and begin working towards getting their relationships back on track?
