Frank recognizes his story from a recently published book written by his past love from before his move to America. He gets caught in a maelstrom of memories and decides to cut his ties to civic life and accidentally hits the interstate highway towards a desert. Frank meets a stripper named Nina and forms a bond with her as he realizes that he is reliving the sheer words of the book into his present reality.
