Trivia:
This film is not a reboot; instead, it is set after the events of the previous trilogy.

The narrative unfolds approximately 300 years following the events of "War for the Planet of the Apes" (2017).

Wes Ball embarked on this project subsequent to the cancellation of his adaptation of the comic series "The Mouse Guard" due to Disney's acquisition of Fox. Director Matt Reeves, known for his direction of the previous Apes films, was slated to produce. Ball would reunite with his "Maze Runner" co-star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and the film would also feature Andy Serkis, known for his portrayal of Caesar in the "Planet of the Apes" series.

Within the initial 24 hours of its release, the first trailer garnered an impressive 75 million views online.
